Breakout Space
Temporary Structure -
The Nimbus Box
Designed by Jaye Interior Design, this project reimagines break spaces, this is a concept design for the Quip & Curisoty Gallery in Cambridge, providing a temporary structure for staff to take their breaks, balancing functionality & tranquillity.
The design features a rectangluar box form sliced by a central wall, creating two distinct zones. One side offers an open dining space for socialising & enjoying meals on break, while the other side provides a serene area to recline & gaze at the clouds, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle & bustle of a busy day at work. This innovative concept demonstrates our commitment to creating spaces that enhance well-being, inspire creativity & escapism.
"Daydreaming beneath the clouds provides a moment of stillness—a chance to pause, breathe, & recharge before diving back into the demands of the day.
The parametric walls of the structure, inspired by the sky, create a serene atmosphere that offers a mental escape. Even on overcast days, this space serves as a gentle reminder to find clarity and balance, helping staff return to work refreshed & ready."
